Food Bag Delivery | June

Bags packed with fresh produce and nonperishable items are delivered to older adults during the third week of the month, when their fixed income begins to run out of funds. Volunteers can deliver one or more bags on a regular basis or as their schedules permit. All perishable and non-perishable items are located in our Food Pantry at 355 N Ashland Ave. Please schedule a delivery date and time with your assigned older adults before collecting the food bag from our office. This opportunity is best for individuals who have access to a vehicle. A friendly visit is appreciated but not required. Your time commitment will be based on the number of deliveries you are assigned with. Opportunity Time-Frame: Food Bag Delivery runs from June 19th-27th. Once assigned, you schedule your visit directly with the older adult(s), and come to LBFE to collect their food bags. Staff will notify you by the start of the month whether or not you are selected for this opportunity.
