About this Opportunity

CVNL advances nonprofits and volunteerism by strengthening leadership, encouraging innovation and empowering individuals in our community. We currently are seeking a volunteer grant research individual. 

Overview 

CVNL is seeking a motivated and community-minded volunteer to serve as a Community Outreach Intern and support our outreach and engagement efforts. This opportunity is ideal for students or emerging professionals looking for hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, community building, and equity-centered work.  

Volunteers will collaborate across all department teams to raise awareness of CVNL’s mission, support local events, and strengthen our connection to community needs. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • As appropriate support outreach to key community audiences and stakeholders 

  • Assist with messaging, flyers, and social media content 

  • Help plan and attend summits, trainings, and community events 

  • Assist with data collection and program evaluation 

  • Maintain outreach records and reporting 

  • Collaborate with staff across departments 

 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Interest in nonprofit work, communications, or community engagement 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable 

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Canva or social media a plus 

  • Bilingual (Spanish, Cantonese, etc.) is a bonus 

  • Availability for occasional in-person events in Marin County, Sonoma County, Napa County and Solano County

Duration: 2 - 3 hours a week; ongoing
