About this Opportunity

Join Us for the Second Annual Unite With Us Day!
A Day to Serve. A Day to Connect. A Day to Unite.

Unite With Us Day is a special opportunity to bring the United Way of Greater St. Louis mission to life by volunteering side by side at United Way-supported agencies across Missouri and Illinois.

One of our volunteer locations and supported agencies is the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis, which serves, supports, and celebrates individuals with Down syndrome and their families through every stage of life.

Volunteer Opportunity – Social Program for Adults with Down Syndrome
Volunteers will assist program staff with the social program for adults with Down syndrome. Activities include:

  • Ice-breaker and conversation games

  • Crafts

  • Dancing and singing

  • Bingo

  • Shared meals

  • And more!

The Friday program for adults is both fun and impactful. Volunteers will have the opportunity to support staff with important tasks, such as facilitating transitions, guiding conversations, and helping to create an inclusive environment for socializing. Volunteers will also get the chance to connect with participants on a personal level.
