About this Opportunity

MEHC is a partnership that includes affordable housing, environmental, and social justice advocates. MEHC works collaboratively to support projects that advance affordable housing, environmental integrity, and social justice.  This typically involves local advocacy for local housing projects and pro-housing, pro-tenant protection policies.

MEHC is currently recruiting for new board members. The board meets virtually once a month for 90 minutes, and most board members contribute 1-5 hours in between meetings. Contributions include reviewing housing projects, writing grant proposals, writing articles on housing and environmental issues and speaking at local meetings. Board members must be interested in seeing more affordable housing in Marin and greater diversity in our residents. Board members should live or work in Marin, or otherwise have very strong Marin ties. Prior housing and environmental experience is not necessary, but an interest in the topic is. We do not ask board members for a minimum financial contribution.

We seek to represent all who live and work in Marin. We welcome all that have time and interest to contribute, but we are particularly interested in candidates that will decrease the diversity of our exisitng board.
