About this Opportunity

What it means to be a volunteer
Becoming a volunteer in our food ministry gives you the chance to meet people where they are and help to meet a basic need. You serve as a smiling face and welcoming spirit to all our community members.

Volunteers will help unload the food truck, organize the groceries so community members can "shop" for what they like, help community members carry the grocery box if needed, make community members feel welcome and valued and help with clean-up once the food site is over.

Onboarding expectations
It is standard procedure at Dream Streets for our volunteers 18 and older to complete a background check. You are required to complete this before starting any volunteer role. Because of the nature of our work and mobile accessibility in our communities of service, you may come in contact with a minor even if the position you are volunteering for is not student oriented. We will send the link in an email after you complete this sign-up.

Dream Streets exists to protect and empower people living in distress. We serve individuals and families living in poverty in West and North Nashville through supplemental resources, wrap around services, and holistic support.
