About this Opportunity
Read to Learn Adult Literacy/Volunteer Program: Volunteer tutors work one-on-one with adults to improve basic English reading and writing skills. Classes meet for 2.5 hours per week for 10 weeks at Indian Trails Public Library from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm on Wednesdays.
Training is mandatory for all new volunteers. The next new tutor training will be held in August 2026 (Date TBD) at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd., Arlington Heights. Volunteer tutors must have a high school diploma or a GED and be at least 18 years of age.
