Summer Lunch Helper at Broadway (QPL)

Volunteers are needed to help manage the daily setup and distribution of food within the branch.

Specifically, volunteers are responsible for:

• Prepping the room - including arranging all tables and chairs
• Conducting a daily count of lunches and track quantities served
• Conducting preliminary food safety assessment to help ensure items are served at proper temperature
• Monitoring the lines to help maintain an orderly distribution of items
• Managing clean-up and disposal of all items​

SKILLS REQUIRED

• 14 years old and up
  • Minors must possess parental/guardian consent (click to download) and working papers (click to download application)
• Available a minimum of two afternoons - Monday through Fridays between 12:30pm - 2:00pm to assist with summer meals distribution 
• Comfortable working with children and teens.
• Patient, friendly, and diligent
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

This is an in-person project.  Individuals, 18 and older are subject to an investigative background check that may be used when considering volunteers.
