About this Opportunity
ALL VOLUNTEERS SHOULD HAVE THEIR OWN VEHICLE OR TRANSPORTATION
Help deliver groceries to seniors in need!
We need your help to deliver groceries to our clients in DC and Montgomery County. Each volunteer shift consists of delivering groceries to 5-7 households and takes 1-2 hours round trip.
Volunteers will drive to our DC Warehouse to pick up groceries, deliver boxes, and return any undelivered boxes back to our DC Warehouse. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license and personal vehicle with up to date registration and insurance. Capital Area Food Bank staff will provide the route and full orientation on-site the day you register to deliver.
Follow the signs to the VISITORS entrance and meet the Grocery Home Delivery coordinator in the front lobby of our 4900 Puerto Rico Avenue, NE DC facility.
