About this Opportunity
Join our Environmental Project Leader Gina, along with Markham Park staff, in maintaining Markham Park's Butterfly Garden and Bird Garden. The Butterfly Garden is located near the nature trail entrance, work will include weeding and maintenance of the beautiful butterfly-attracting plants. The Bird Garden is located across from the dog park and near the nature trail entrance, work will include spreading mulch, digging holes, and planting bird-friendly plants.

Broward County Workday Volunteer Application and Waiver
Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and must wear sneakers/closed-toe shoes - all volunteers will be working with dirt. Hats and sunscreen are recommended. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own water and gloves for the project. Face masks are not required due to the work being all outdoors.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult to this project. Court-ordered volunteers are NOT permitted for this project. When you arrive at the Park, you will be able to park for free, and will meet Gina at the location you are given after registering.
