Beyond School Academic Mentor

As a Beyond School Academic Mentor, you will be trained to implement individualized literacy lessons, help scholars improve academic + organizational skills, + support Beyond School staff + scholars throughout daily program components. Academic Mentors have the opportunity to invest in meaningful relationships with our scholars + help them to realize their full potential. We ask our Academic Mentor Volunteers to choose one day a week to come in and work with our students for at least one semester. Building relationships is a top priority, and that only comes with time! 

Our program is embeded at 4 local charter schools:

St. Louis Language Immersion Schools (SLLIS) 
Days: Monday-Thursday 
Time: 4:10-5:10 PM 
Grades: PreK-8 

Lafayette Preparatory Academy (LPA) 
Days: Monday-Thursday 
Time: 4:05-5:15 PM 
Grades: 4-8 

Kairos Academies 
Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 
Time: 4:25-5:25 PM 
Grades: 5-11 

The Biome School 
Days: Monday-Thursday 
Time: 3:40-4:40 PM  
Grades: K-5
