Onsite Grocery Delivery: The Gettysburg Apartments

Join us to help with our distribution of food boxes for senior citizens in the DMV area! This delivery will take place at 3001 Bladensburg Road NE, Washington, DC. Volunteers will be helping participants place food boxes in their carts as they come to pick-up from the community center on the first floor of The Gettysburg Apartments; boxes weigh about 30-35 lbs. Volunteers will meet Lisa Wilderson at the address listed, 1st floor community room (if driving please park on the street; community room entrance when facing the building is on the right side towards the back, there's a sidewalk leading to the door). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the shift. This is an indoor volunteer opportunity, please wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothing.
