2025 State Summer Games - ESPN Wide World of Sports

Special Olympics Florida is excited to host the State Summer Games on May 16th & 17th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports! 

We invite volunteers to register for the following opportunities:

• Sports Volunteers - Athletics (Track & Field), Basketball, Bocce, Cycling, Soccer Skills, Softball Throw: Help with multiple aspects of competition including checking in athletes, escorting them to/from the fields of play, scorekeeping, managing equipment, etc. 
• Healthy Athletes: Check-in athletes, engage them in games, and distribute prizes as they complete multiple health screenings at Healthy Athletes.
• Awards: Assist with preparing and presenting awards to athletes.

• Logistics Crew: Assist with distributing ice and other equipment to the fields of play. *This role requires the ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and to drive a motorized golf cart (a valid driver's license is required). 
• Awards Announcer: Use a provided script to announce athletes as they are awarded their medals. Volunteers should have a public speaking or acting background and be comfortable using a microphone. 

All volunteers will receive a volunteer T-shirt, and those working shifts of four hours or more will also be provided with lunch.
