About this Opportunity
As a dog caretaker, you'll be part of a dedicated, all-volunteer team that provides compassionate care to dogs as they wait to find their forever homes. You'll help clean their runs, feed them, and exercise, play with, and cuddle them! The goal is to make their time at the shelter as safe, happy, and stress-free as possible. Our shelter operates on two shifts per day -- AM shift runs from 9am to noon, and PM shift runs from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. We'd ask you to commit to one shift per week (e.g., Saturday AM shift). That's it -- just three hours per week can make a world of difference in a homeless dog's life! Our volunteers range in age from 18-to-84. If you love dogs, we'd love to have you on our team!
To join our all-volunteer team:
1. Go to https://www.animalaidsociety.org/volunteer/ for instructions on how to complete a short online training.
2. Upon completion of the online training, download your certificates and email them to: [email protected]. You will be scheduled for an onsite safety orientation and shelter tour.
3. You'll pick your shift, and jump right in!
