HELP OUT: Rancho Peñasquitos Farmers Market

Devoted to Youth hosts the Rancho Peñasquitos Farmers Market every Thursday. The proceeds of the market go toward charities that support families and children, as well as food/donation drives. Devoted to Youth needs volunteers to run the market as smoothly as possible so that their small staff team can focus on making it a bigger weekly market. 

Volunteers are needed to help with setting up, breaking down, and running the event.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

• Attire: Comfortable clothing and a jacket as it will get chilly. This opportunity takes place outdoors with plenty of shade.

• Bring: Water. Devoted to Youth will provide food and non-alcoholic drinks.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 40 lbs. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and the space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.

• Waiver: Minors are required to complete the Devoted to Youth waiver.

• Weather: This is a rain or shine market, but it will close if the weather gets too bad.

• Note: You must download the HandsOn Connect app to your smart device to electronically sign the waiver and check in at this volunteer opportunity. The HandsOn Connect App can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play. Volunteers that do not sign in will automatically be marked as not attending at midnight the day of their shift.
