About this Opportunity
Supporting Empty Arms is a mental health nonprofit dedicated to walking alongside individuals and families navigating the emotional and psychological challenges of growing a family. We serve those experiencing perinatal loss, failed IVF cycles, disrupted adoptions, and high-risk pregnancies. Our mission is to provide compassionate, trauma-informed support and create spaces for healing and connection.
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to help us grow our impact. Your efforts will directly contribute to expanding access to mental health support for those enduring some of the most emotionally difficult times of their lives.
Responsibilities:

Research grant opportunities aligned with our mission and programs

Draft compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding reports

Collaborate with our leadership team to gather necessary program details and data

Track application deadlines and submission requirements

Assist in developing a grant calendar and database of potential funders
Qualifications:

Previous grant writing experience preferred (nonprofit or academic settings welcomed)

Strong writing, research, and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Passion for mental health, grief support, or family-building issues is a plus
