About this Opportunity
Volunteers will research and make calls to ensure the database has the most up-to-date information available. This information is then used to help the national USDA Hunger Hotline connect those in need to necessary resources. This is a project that can be done on your own time when it's convenient for your schedule. Volunteers must have access to technology including a computer, Google, and a cell phone or digital phone number.
Sessions are typically 1.5hrs long and can be arranged at a suitable time, typically from 12PM ET on weekdays. We will host a session for your employees which includes an overview of Hunger Free America, food insecurity in the U.S, and the importance of maintaining an accurate database of food resources for our callers to the Hunger Hotline. We will provide full training in the task and support while in the session.
For all Corporate group sessions, we request a donation to Hunger Free America to support our work. Please reach out to [email protected] for any questions, and express your interest through registering for this opportunity, and we will follow up with more information.
