A Day to Serve. A Day to Connect. A Day to Unite.

Unite With Us Day is a special opportunity to bring the United Way of Greater St. Louis mission to life by volunteering side by side at United Way-supported agencies across Missouri and Illinois.

One of our volunteer locations and supported agencies is Operation Food Search, which nourishes and educates our neighbors in need to heal the hurt of hunger.

Volunteer Opportunity: Donation Barrel Cleaning
Volunteers will pressure wash food drive barrels that are sent out into the community. Tasks include:

• Pressure washing the bins

• Drying them thoroughly

• Inspecting for any damage

These iconic blue donation barrels are used year-round at food drives across the community. Keeping them clean and functional is essential to supporting Operation Food Search's mission.

Volunteer Info

• Volunteers age 16 and up welcome (minors must be accompanied by a chaperone)

• Water and snacks will be provided

• In the event of rain or bad weather, we will cancel this volunteer project.

This project is proudly championed by Nick Still, Edward Jones, Sr. Digital Product Owner | UWGSL United Young Leaders Committee Member, who will be volunteering alongside participants and sharing why they support the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
