Become a Blood Donor Ambassador with the American Red Cross.
 
IMPACT
Volunteers serving as Blood Donor Ambassadors provide excellent and enthusiastic customer service to enhance the blood donor experience. Volunteers engage with blood donors to promote blood donation, set the stage for a long-term commitment to regular blood donations, assist donors with re-hydrating after donation and observe for post-donation reactions, express gratitude and ensure each blood donor is sincerely thanked for their donation. The work of Blood Donor Ambassadors is important, and we would love to have you as part of our volunteer team.

VOLUNTEER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check-in and provide information on blood donation with blood donors.
• Connect with blood donors and provide customer service before they donate.

REQUIREMENTS
Time Commitment: One 6-hour shift per month for 6 months. You may participate in more than one shift per month if you wish.
Required Training: 1-hour training is required prior to the first shift

Other Requirements

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide customer service care
• Must pass a background check
