About this Opportunity
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is in need of volunteers that are willing to come out and assist with the daily chores at the horse rescue and sanctuary. This facility houses OVER 70 animals including horses, miniature horses, goats, donkeys, farm pigs, pot bellied pigs a hinny and sheep. Volunteer tasks include interacting with the animals at the ranch and learning how to do daily ranch chores. Volunteers start their shift with chores like cleaning the stalls and cleaning & refilling water buckets. Once the work is done, volunteers can interact with the animals, including grooming, braiding, and bathing as needed. PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers are welcome to come ANY Tuesday or Thursday From 12:30-5:30.
Please wear closed toe shoes or boots. Please do not wear expensive shoes as they will get dirty and sometimes wet. Dress is casual, t-shirts and jeans or shorts. Please do not wear jewelry or clothes that are expensive because the jewelry could get lost and the clothes could get stained. You might want to bring sunscreen, bug repellent and a hat but they are not required. If you want to have a snack and drink, please bring your own cooler marked with your name as we do not have vending machines. We will provide water. We look forward to seeing you there!
