Restock a Little Free Library in St. Petersburg, Florida

We need your help to keep great books accessible to communities 24/7. As a volunteer, you will visit this Little Free Library in St. Petersburg at the Great Explorations Children's Museum to distribute books once every two weeks. This book-sharing box needs books for children and toddlers.

We're looking for a volunteer who can commit to distributing books to this Little Free Library for 6 months. We can suggest free or low-cost sources of books - or, if you're a bookworm yourself, you can distribute your own.  Approximately 40 books are needed each month, so anything that you can contribute would be appreciated! 

Register on our website to get started. After you register, we will send tips and resources. Little Free Library staff and the Little Free Library caretaker (the steward) can answer your questions along the way. 

You can restock the library anytime during the open lobby hours (Mon-Sat 10:30 am - 4:00 pm or Sun 12-4 pm), or arrange a different time to restock with the steward. 

Purpose: By keeping Little Free Libraries filled with books, you are helping to build community, inspire readers, and expand book access. 

Responsibilities:

• Collect books for children and toddlers.
• Travel to the Little Free Library to distribute books once every two weeks for 6 months during open lobby hours.
• Use the Little Free Library app to check-in and track how many books you shared.
• Submit an Impact form in our volunteer hub at the end of the 6 month commitment.

Time Required: You set your own schedule within the open lobby hours. We're asking you to commit to just a few hours of collecting and distributing books once every two weeks. 

Resources Available: We will help you get started with some tips for book sources and using our Little Free Library app. 

Qualifications:

• Love Little Free Libraries and supporting book access!
• Willing to collect or donate books for 6 months
• Have access to transportation to take books to the Little Free Library
• Great at communicating by email or phone
