Volunteer Lifeguards Needed for Transformative Wilderness Event

Join the Young Men's Ultimate Weekend (YMUW) as a Lifeguard!

Are you passionate about mentoring youth and ensuring safety in the outdoors? YMUW is seeking a lifeguard for our upcoming wilderness rite of passage event on June 19-22, 2025!

YMUW is an immersive camping experience designed to challenge and empower teenage boys aged 13-20, helping them build confidence, responsibility, and strong, supportive relationships. For one unforgettable weekend, we step away from the distractions of modern life-no phones, no screens-just raw, real experiences in nature.

Founded by Dr. Mark Schillinger, YMUW has hosted over 50 initiation events, guiding more than 3,500 young men through this powerful experience. Our mission extends beyond initiation-we foster community service, leadership, and teamwork to help teenagers step into adulthood with confidence and integrity.

Volunteer Opportunity:

Lifeguard for water-based activities during the event
Coverage needed on Thursday June 19, Friday, June 20, Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, 2025
Open to individuals aged 21 and above
Engage in a rewarding, educational, and collaborative mentoring experience
Contribute to an event that promotes personal growth, teamwork, and leadership in the great outdoors
