Food Pantry Distribution Volunteers

Several times a month, Westhab's Dayspring Community Center opens its doors to its community members to hand out food items that had been delivered earlier in the week.

Volunteers are needed to help set up and organize these food items onto tables for easier distribution. Some volunteers are stationed at each table during distribution, while others assist with crowd control at the entrance and exit. Additionally, volunteers may be asked to help with the attestation (sign-in) of community members as well as cleaning up, moving extra food into storage, and breaking down tables.

Volunteer requirements:

• Be able to lift bags of food and tables
• Wear comfortable, warm (layered) clothing and appropriate footwear (sneakers or boots)
• Spanish-speaking skills encouraged but not required
• Computer or iPad skills encouraged but not required
