About this Opportunity
Overview: STEAM Saturday is an exciting opportunity for the students of Prospect Hill Academy in grades K to 8 to explore, discover, and learn outside the traditional classroom and be inspired to uncover their passion, gain motivation, and become lifelong learners. Across the Saturdays, students will engage in hands-on, interactive, and fun learning activities in a diverse selection of topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
PHA is looking for classroom volunteers who will assist the volunteer teacher during enrichment activities by passing out materials, helping students with instructions and activities, walking students to the water fountain or bathroom, etc. Classroom volunteers should be comfortable working with students in grades K-8. This is a perfect volunteer opportunity for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and enjoys spending time with youth.
Please note: All volunteers are required to complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check. This process must be completed in person at least two weeks before volunteering for STEAM Saturday. After signing up, Kim Le, [email protected], will be in touch via email to coordinate this process.
It is strongly recommended that volunteers commit to all four dates for STEAM Saturday programming. Students respond better to adults who consistently work with them!
If you would still like to volunteer, but can't attend all the sessions in a cohort, please reach out to Kim Le at [email protected].
Dates for Fall 2025 STEAM Saturday: October 18th, October 25th, November 1st, November 8th.
