About this Opportunity
Mass Farmers Markets (MFM) is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization in Massachusetts that partners with farmers, consumers, and communities to improve the health of individuals, strengthen community vitality, and enhance local farm viability through farmers markets.
The Fish and Farm Market at the Boston Fish Pier is coming back for its second season in 2025! The fish and farm market is part of a partnership with MASSPort.
Volunteers will be assisting the Market Manager to help set up and take down the market. Tasks may include moving items in/out of the storage areas, setting up/taking down the MFM tent and table, assisting vendors with their set up/take down, counting SNAP tokens, and helping customers as needed. Skillsets beneficial for this opportunity include interpersonal skills, physical strength, flexibility, and love for local agriculture! Any fluency in Chinese/Mandarin, Haitian-Creole, or Russian is extremely helpful.
Please Note: Volunteers will need to be standing at the outdoor markets during the duration of their shift. Volunteers should expect to be helping lift and move objects.
