About this Opportunity
St. Peter's Haven Food Pantry serves over 1,000 Passaic County families and individuals in need by providing them with supplementary groceries every month. Volunteers are needed to unload food donation trucks and under the supervision of St. Peter's staff, organize items on shelves and tables.
This project involves a lot of heavy lifting! Please bring your own work gloves (if preferred), wear closed toed shoes and comfortable clothes.

Please note: The timing of this opportunity has been determined by Jersey Cares and St. Peter's based on the delivery window provided by the food supplier. There is potential the delivery may arrive before or after the opportunity begins resulting in a delayed program start or a shortened volunteer experience. Volunteers will push donations on rolling racks and place them onto pallets to be allocated to various places in the pantry.

Volunteers should dress for the weather because the food donation truck will be outside and the doors to the pantry will be open while bringing in donations.
Being flexible will be a plus as task may change based on necessity.

Waivers: All projects have non-negotiable age restrictions that are noted on the upper right side of each project description. If you meet the age restriction but are under 18, please have a parent or legal guardian complete the required youth waiver and bring with you to the project. Adults attending the project can expedite the registration process by printing the adult waiver in advance, sign and bring with you.
