About this Opportunity
It's that time of year again and we're back with our Kit Assembly Project for our Day of Dignity Events! 🎉
Islamic Relief USA is calling on our Blueshirts to help at our upcoming School Kits, Winter Care Kits, and Hygiene Kit Assemblies to later be distributed at our signature Day of Dignity event locally! We need our blueshirts to assist with packaging 12,700 kits for our local neighbors in need. We need your help to make this a success!
Kits to Assemble:Â
✨ Primary Kits: 1,300
✨ Elementary Kits: 2,500
✨ Jr High/High School Kits: 2,500
✨ Winter Care Kits: 3,300
✨ Hygiene Kits: 3,100
Tasks May Include:
- Building boxes with tape
- Handling small items
- Packing items into boxes
- Paletizing boxes
- Preparing boxes and kits for delivery and pick up
- Lifting and handling 30 pound boxes
Where: Islamic Center of Detroit | 14350 Tireman Ave, Detroit, MI 48228, USA
When: *4 SHIFTS*
Saturday, August 1 & Sunday, August 2
Shift 1: 10 AM - 2 PM
Shift 2: 2 PM - 6 PM
- Age Restriction: If you are planning to bring a child under the age of 13 please email the coordinator listed below so that your child may be listed as a guest (capacity permitting).
Additional Information:
- IRUSA shirts will be provided at the event, please select your shirt size when signing up for this event. They are short sleeves so please plan accordingly.
