Does your gentle pet love people? Visit Residents in their communities!

Do you have a relaxed, well-behaved and easy going pet who enjoys people? Many residents living in long term care and retirement communities miss the comfort of one or more pets in their lives, and some have especially requested LITA bring them a pet (dogs, cats and...?)  to pet, cuddle with, sit on their lap, talk to and enjoy. Can you help us? When part of our Pet Connection Program, LITA will set you up in one or more older adult living communities to help reduce isolation and loneliness by sharing the love of your pet. Requirements are: Basic dog obedience, current vaccinations, volunteer orientation, references, CDL and a commitment of regular visits for a minimum of eight months is required.
