Creativity for a Cause 
Bring a creative flair to your personal journey as you use artwork to reflect an aspect of United Way’s Impact work in the Central Indiana community. Choose from themes that tell a story of how people’s lives are changed through the work United Way is doing in the areas of Basic Needs, Family Opportunity and Social Innovation. This is a self-directed opportunity for you to put your ingenuity and creativity into and watch the magic happen! All you need is chalk, crayons, or paints and a surface to write on. Feel free to get as creative as you want with the type of material you work with. Create a yarn project, nature project, or just use whatever is on hand. Get outside and into some fresh air and sunshine along with your chalk sticks and create an inspiring design. If indoors is better for you, use crayons or paints and paper to bring out the artist in you.
To give you some idea of the wide breadth of what these cover, consider making an inspiring picture that depicts food plentifulness, homelessness, health, transportation, education, job readiness or technology. 
Share your pictures with others in your area.
Bring them to neighborhood institutions including, but not limited to:

• Local nursing home or assisted living home.
• Hospitals
• Churches
• Boys & Girls Clubs
• Other local community-based organizations
• Put a smile on a neighbor’s face and give them your creation.
• Share with your schoolteacher, mail delivery person, sanitation manager, church pastor, special friend or relative.
