About this Opportunity

Putnam Service Dogs is looking for Vacation Relief Volunteers to help provide short-term vacation relief to its volunteer puppy raisers when they need a break or to be away from home.

Vacation Relief Volunteers care for a puppy only on occasion—once every month or two for about 3-10 days, depending on the need. There is no cost for the Vacation Relief Volunteer; the puppy raiser will bring all supplies, including a crate if needed, and will drop off and pick up their pup.

Vacation Relief Volunteers will keep the puppy safe and happy, as well as respect Putnam Service Dogs' policies (i.e. the puppy is not allowed on furniture, to be fed from the table, to be off-leash except in a fenced area, and to be taken into a busy or stressful setting). Putnam Service Dogs' staff will provide training for all Vacation Relief Volunteers while they're caring for the puppy.
