A Day to Serve. A Day to Connect. A Day to Unite.

Unite With Us Day is a special opportunity to bring the United Way of Greater St. Louis mission to life by volunteering side by side at United Way-supported agencies across Missouri and Illinois.

One of our volunteer locations and supported agencies is Emmaus Homes, which supports more than 200 adults with developmental disabilities across five counties. Emmaus Homes empowers individuals to live as independently as possible in homes just like yours and mine, and volunteers are integral in making this possible by assisting with yard projects at many of the homes where their clients reside.

Volunteer Opportunity – Yard Maintenance and Beautification Volunteers will assist with outdoor tasks like:

• Leaf removal

• Mowing

• Trimming

• Weed pulling

• Flower planting

This project will help with the maintenance and beautification of the residences where these clients live—homes that each individual takes great pride in calling their own. Volunteers in projects like these also allow Emmaus Homes employees to focus on other essential client needs, knowing that generous community members are helping with vital tasks.

Volunteer Info

• Volunteers age 10 and up are welcome (minors must be accompanied by a chaperone)

• Water and snacks will be provided

• Please wear clothes that can get dirty and close-toed shoes

• In the event of bad weather, we will cancel this volunteer event
