About this Opportunity
Centennial Park Needs You!
Help preserve our shared verdant oasis of natural beauty, history, and fun in the heart of Nashville! Connect with us to keep this green and serene space pristine :) Our Green Sweep Squad meets monthly on the first Saturday from 9am to noon to lend Metro Parks a hand in defeating our mutual arch-nemesis: LITTERBUGS. Sign-up today and we’ll see you in the Park!
What will volunteers do?
- Participate in a fun environment meeting new friends and neighbors while being productive together and enjoying the park.
- Take pride in being part of a team dedicated to upholding the legacy of Centennial Park for generations to come.
- Collaborate with like-minded individuals who share your passion for stewardship and service to create a positive ripple effect extending beyond the park boundaries and inspiring others to be Good Neighbors!
What will volunteers need to bring or wear?
Dress for weather, bring water and wear closed-toe shoes. We provide latex gloves, but it you want to bring your own, please do. (p.s. If you feel so inclined...wear green! Every day is St. Paddy's when it comes to Green Sweepin' in the park!)
Who can volunteer:
Minors must have adult supervision at all times. Those 13 and above can also register directly and earn hours with the Conservancy. Children under 13 can still come and participate with you, but must be strictly supervised. If you need verification of Service Hours for you or your Children, please bring the required forms to the park on your day of service. FYI: Many organizations will also accept a screen shot from the Point app as proof of service.
Our Mission:
Centennial Park Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works in partnership with Nashville’s Metro Parks to support Centennial Park and the Parthenon. We preserve, enhance and share the Parthenon and Centennial Park so that all future generations may benefit from these enriching cultural and educational landmarks.
