Blood Transport STAT Volunteers

While many of our volunteer drivers sign up for recurring weekly routes to deliver blood, our new STAT program will allow a volunteer to be on standby as upcoming requests for blood products are submitted by local hospitals. Choose from a weekday shift from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12 to 4 p.m. or select a weekend shift from 12 to 4 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m.  Volunteers will be able to Accept or Decline deliveries which will be sent to their mobile devices.

This is a 3-month commitment, volunteering at least once a month minimum. 

You will have access to a Red Cross Vehicle and will not have to use your personal vehicle. All Red Cross volunteer drivers must submit a criminal background check for theft and violence and a Motor Vehicle Report; the Red Cross will pay for these two items.
