About this Opportunity
Volunteer Opportunity: Literacy League – Superhero Cape Bundles
HandsOn South Florida’s Literacy League is dedicated to helping students develop a love of reading and setting them up for long-term educational success.
For this project, volunteers will create Superhero Cape Bundles that will be donated to students during our upcoming Super Reader Day – a guest reading event held at local schools and Afterschool Literacy Programs. Each bundle will support children in building their own home libraries while inspiring imagination, creative play, and a lifelong love of literacy.
Who Benefits:
Students at community centers and public schools in underserved areas throughout South Florida.
Volunteer Hours:
- Volunteers earn 1 hour per cape bundle.
- Maximum of 10 hours per month.
- Please note: Some Broward County Public Schools limit the number of volunteer hours students can submit per year. These restrictions vary by school. Check with your school or guidance counselor for clarification. For questions, contact [email protected].
