About this Opportunity
The Oaks Apartments, 65 Carol Ln Bldg 73, Oakley, CA 94561
Volunteers are needed to help fill and distribute bags of groceries as part of the Senior Food Program. This is a great way to learn about Food Bank programs in action while helping us distribute food directly to neighbors in need. This position does require frequent standing, bending, and the ability to lift during this volunteer opportunity.
- All volunteers must be scheduled.
- Masks are optional for all volunteer shifts.
- Volunteers need to arrive no later than the shift start time.
- If you sign up for a shift that you cannot attend, please log into your account and remove yourself so that someone else can sign up to help us.
- All volunteers must wear a nametag and closed-toed shoes.
- This volunteer opportunity is open to Groups such as corporate groups, youth clubs, schools and any other community or religious organizations. Please submit a Group Request Form to schedule.
- During the volunteer shift, volunteer attendance is recorded on paper. Please allow up to 8 weeks for your attendance to be updated in your volunteer account.
- Volunteers may be asked to stand, bend, and lift food boxes and bags.
- Court-Ordered Community Service Volunteers may not sign up for Senior Food Program volunteer shifts. If they sign up for these shifts their hours will not be counted.
