About this Opportunity

Brief Organizational Description: 

St. Joseph’s Villa provides children with special needs and their families the opportunity to succeed through innovative and effective programs. 

Flagler Housing & Homeless Services provides rapid re-housing assistance to homeless families, single individuals, youth and veterans in Greater Richmond and the Tri-Cities. Rapid re-housing helps homeless households obtain permanent rental housing as quickly as possible and provides supportive services as needed.

Volunteer Position Description and Purpose: 

We are looking for volunteers to organize a collection drive at their place of work, school or community. We are asking for items to be collected and donated to our Flagler rapid rehousing services program. 
 

Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:

This opportunity can be organized by a group or an individual. Please track all volunteer hours and turn in a roster when the drive is completed. The volunteers will be responsible for the collection of needed items and delivery to St. Joseph's Villa. Please contact Mary Rousis at [email protected] to set up a drop off date and time

The types of items needed *must be new in orginial packaging: 

Shower liner, shower curtain, shower curtain rings, bath mat, bathroom cleaner, paper towels and toilet paper

Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:

Just a passion for helping your community! 

Time Commitment:

You can do a full day of collecting or set up a box in your school or office for a period of time, it's totally up to you!

Other Information (if applicable):

  • Attendance will be recorded in St. Joseph's Villa volunteer log. We can verify hours for students or individuals as needed.
