Maymont's Summer Kickoff Concert 2025

Maymont, located in the heart of Richmond, Virginia, is a well-preserved 100 acres where all are welcome to connect with history, nature, wildlife and each other. Built as a Gilded Age estate overlooking the James River, Maymont opened to the public in 1926 and today offers free admission to explore its miles of walking paths through rolling hills, beautiful landscaped gardens, a petting farm and the Virginia Wildlife Trail with habitats for rescued native animals. Since 1975, the nonprofit Maymont Foundation has been entrusted to care for this unique place, galvanizing community support around its mission to delight, educate and inspire all who visit. 

Kick off Richmond’s outdoor music season on Friday June 6th at Maymont! Maymont's Summer Kickoff Concert is the perfect excuse to round up some friends, grab some portable chairs or picnic blankets, and check out Richmond’s eclectic music scene. Friday evening features Full Moon Fever, a Tom Petty tribute band and Richmond’s favorite yacht rockers, Three Sheets to the Wind. 

Volunteer support is needed at ABC sales helping pour beer and wine (VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 21+). Please bring a water bottle, dress to be outside (this is a rain or shine event), wear comfortable shoes, and a great attitude!

Volunteer Check-In and Parking:

Volunteer Check-In will be at 1700 Hampton Street where there is also limited parking available. Additional parking can be found at the Robins Nature Center. Public Transportation, carpooling, and rideshare are encouraged.
