Waupaca Boatride Volleyball Tournament
📍 Brighton Acres – Oshkosh, WI
📅 July 10–11, 2026

Join NMDP at one of the nation’s largest outdoor grass volleyball tournaments! Volunteers will help engage attendees, share information about NMDP’s lifesaving mission, and support donor registry recruitment efforts throughout the weekend.

☀️ This is an outdoor event, so please dress comfortably for the weather. We recommend athletic/casual attire, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated.

No volleyball experience needed — just positive energy and a passion for helping save lives! 💙

Recruitment Roles:

1. Registration Team
Engage people in meaningful conversations, guide them through joining the registry with a simple cheek swab, and ensure they complete their profile.

2. Educational Team
Guide individuals through the donation process by answering questions, easing concerns, and providing clear, accurate information so they can make an informed decision to potentially save a life.

3. Hype Team
Bring the energy. Approach people, share quick and impactful messages, and invite them to join the registry on the spot.

Quick Elevator Pitch:
“Hi, do you want to fight cancer with us?
We’re helping people with blood cancer find a stem cell donor. Right now, a 15-year-old named Max is searching for a match.
You can join with a simple cheek swab. It takes about five minutes. This is the first step in helping fight cancer. If you are matched, about 90% of donations are similar to plasma, and about 10% are bone marrow.
You may need to travel, but all expenses are fully covered.
Today is a simple step to help fight cancer. No pressure at all. I’m happy to share more if you’re interested.”
