About this Opportunity
SOLVE is excited to host the inaugural “Pick It Up, Milwaukie!”—a community-powered cleanup event right in the heart of our hometown.
Happening on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in downtown Milwaukie, this event invites residents, businesses, families, and volunteers of all ages to come together and show some love to the city we call home.
This family-friendly cleanup is a great opportunity to lead by example and inspire the next generation—teaching kids the power of small actions that make a big impact. Together, we’ll remove litter, build community connections, and take real steps toward a cleaner, healthier Milwaukie.
Bob’s Red Mill is keeping us fueled with delicious snack bars, and we’ll keep the energy up with fun games, contests, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. A big thanks as well to Mama & Hapa’s Zero Waste Shop (11122 SE Main St), generously serving as our South Hub—providing volunteers with a welcoming space to use the restroom, cool off, and refill water bottles. We’re grateful for such fantastic community partners!
After the cleanup event, attend Milwaukie's 2025 Sustainability Fair, which is across the street from our cleanup site at 10723 SE Main St. The fair runs until 3 PM and includes family activities, The Trashion Show, food, and more.
Join us for a day of making a difference—together, celebrating Milwaukie’s pride through action, connection, and creating a cleaner city for everyone.
