About this Opportunity
Volunteer Leaders are the backbone of the work we do at Boston Cares. The quantity and diversity of projects that are on the monthly calendar directly correlates with the number of active Volunteer Leaders. The course will cover how to lead a project, the functionality of our website, and tips for making each volunteer experience engaging and exciting. Becoming a Volunteer Leader is a great way to increase your impact as a volunteer and gain leadership skills.
Volunteer Leaders (VLs) are an integral part of the Boston Cares experience. They serve as a liaison between volunteers, agency partners, and Boston Cares to ensure a positive experience for all. Projects posted on our Calendar are led by Volunteer Leaders who coordinate between volunteers and the agency partner ahead of the project, meet volunteers onsite, and help ensure the project goes smoothly. VLs are what allow Boston Cares to have so many projects - without VLs, there would be no projects on our Calendar for volunteers to serve our community!
To qualify for this training, you must already be a current Boston Cares member who has attended at least three Boston Cares Calendar Projects (not including an orientation). You can read more about the Volunteer Leader program at https://www.bostoncares.org/lead
This training is virtual. A Zoom link will be sent to you after registering.
