Volunteer Position Description and Purpose
Join the Richmond ToolBank for a day of community action at Battery Park! We're leading a tree planting event to help expand Richmond's urban tree canopy and create a greener, healthier community. Your support is vital as we work together to enhance our city's green infrastructure.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities
Volunteers will assist with all aspects of tree planting, including digging holes, mulching around trees, and watering.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
No experience is necessary to participate. All you need is a willingness to work as a team and a desire to make a tangible impact on our community's green spaces.
Time Commitment
This is a one-day event. We will begin at 10:00 AM and work until 2:00 PM.

How volunteer hours will be verified: A sign-in sheet will be available at the event. Please ensure you sign in and out to have your hours verified.

Recommended attire: Please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, along with closed-toe shoes or work boots.

Parking Information: Street parking is available around Battery Park.

What to bring: We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. Water will be available on-site for refills. All tools and equipment will be provided.

Special instructions: This event is a great opportunity for team building and getting hands-on experience with environmental projects. We'll provide a brief orientation at the start of the event to cover safety and proper planting techniques.
