About this Opportunity

Objective: As a Volunteer Services Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our organization's volunteer program. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the coordination and management of volunteer services, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for both volunteers and the organization. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for new volunteers, providing necessary information and resources. Database Management: Track volunteer hours and activities for reporting purposes. Communication: Assist in the creation and distribution of regular newsletters or updates for volunteers. Training and Development: Work with the Volunteer Manager to develop and deliver training sessions for volunteers. Identify opportunities for skill-building and professional development for volunteers. Recognition and Appreciation: Coordinate efforts to recognize and appreciate volunteers for their contributions. Organize volunteer appreciation events or initiatives. Qualifications: Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse groups of people. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of volunteer management principles is a plus. Time Commitment: 4 hours per week. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 9pm-5pm and Friday 9am-3pm. Volunteers may sign up for volunteer shifts that fit their schedules.
Requested length of service: Minimum of 3 months
