About this Opportunity
The Friends of the Fairfield-Suisun Library is a nonprofit organization that promotes reading and learning through sponsorship of quality library services and events.
Solano County Libraries are centers of information where everyone can come together to learn, create, and develop life skills. The Friends' organization seeks to enhance and build library services for today and for the future. Funds generated by Friends directly support children and family programs such as the summer reading program, after school programs and family storytellers, teen activities, poetry readings, author lectures, and theatrical and musical performances.
The bookstore depends entirely on donations of books and is currently in need of donations of gently used fiction (years 2015-current), nonfiction (sports, history, cookbooks). When making donations, all items should be in good condition and of current interest. Please, no mildewed, underlined, damaged or yellowed books. We also cannot accept textbooks, cassettes, magazines. Donations can be brought to the bookstore's Fairfield Library location at 1150 Kentucky Street, Fairfield, CA.
