About this Opportunity

A one-to-one meeting with our Volunteer Coordinator to learn more about this role.

The role of this volunteer is to work directly with customers to assist them with computer-based tools to identify available services and benefits to help them achieve financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greets customers, provides basic instructions, explains the process, and responds to all questions
  • Provides community referrals to assist customers in achieving financial stability
  • Assists customers in navigating to online resources to complete applications for utility and rent assistance and other benefits as defined
  • Assists customers in accessing the customer’s personal online email and uploading and attaching documents to applications as needed
  • Provides detailed instructions to customers for next steps to monitor application status
  • Maintains log of number of customers assisted and types of applications submitted
  • If needed, assists at information window answering customer questions and managing paperwork for customer interviews, including making copies, retrieving faxes and emails with required customer documents
