Thank-A-Thon

WHAT TO EXPECT
Thank-A-Thon volunteers will participate in organized efforts to express gratitude to donors of Feeding Tampa Bay. During your shift, you can expect to either be calling or writing thank-you notes to individuals who have contributed to our cause and supported food insecure neighbors across the ten counties we serve.

To be successful in this opportunity, each volunteer should:

• Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude to help donors feel appreciated.
• Follow the provided scripts to maintain consistency and effectiveness.
• Be comfortable speaking on the phone or writing clearly and thoughtfully.
• Log all relevant notes for calls to ensure accurate donor records. Ask for assistance if unsure about a donor’s question or concern.

Detailed instructions for calls and thank-you notes will be provided at the start of each shift. You will be provided with all the necessary materials to complete your volunteer tasks including pens, notecards, phones, and scripts.

BEFORE ARRIVING
This is an indoor and mostly seated volunteer opportunity, please come dressed appropriately for that environment. Appropriate attire includes shirts with sleeves (no tank-tops or crop-tops), and jeans or shorts of appropriate length. 

RESTRICTIONS
The minimum age for this activity is 18+
Court Ordered Volunteers are NOT allowed to serve at this opportunity
