Our mission is to empower community members to protect and restore southwest Washington’s waterways and natural areas for the benefit of current and future generations. Volunteers will clean-up litter and debris from along a vital waterway, protecting the water and surrounding area from pollution.
The Alliance was originally incorporated as the Vancouver Watershed Alliance in 2008, with funding from the City of Vancouver to help with the cleanup and restoration of Burnt Bridge Creek. Since then, the organization has expanded its role such that it now works with local governments throughout the county, with other nonprofit organizations, and with businesses, schools, and other partners. In 2017, the organization changed its name to the Watershed Alliance of Southwest Washington to reflect its broader impact and mission.
