UI/UX Design Mentor

Who: The Thaddeus Resource Center is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore HOPE, inspire GROWTH, and EMPOWER girls and women through education, life skill development, workforce training, and other supportive services. • Directly supervise 5 to 10 web design or UI/UX interns under the Tech department
• Provide guidance on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) concepts for our digital platforms 
• Review wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs and offer constructive feedback 
• Advise on user research approaches and interpretation of user feedback 
• Recommend improvements to usability, accessibility, and overall user experience 
• Contribute to the evolution of our design system and style guide 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and best practices and share insights with the team 
• Collaborate with the tech team to ensure seamless implementation of designs 
• This is a volunteer role, there is no monetary compensation

• Have completed a Bachelor's degree in UI/UX, IT, Computer Science/Engineering or related studies 
• 5 years’ experience working in IT, business management or a related field 
• Possess strong personal integrity and ethical principles 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Possess strong organizational, problem-solving and time management skills 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Time Commitment: 
  • The responsibilities for this role are performed 100% remotely 
  • ​5 hrs./week including mandatory meetings
  • 1-year minimum 
  • ​Must be available for the following VIRTUAL weekly meetings: 
  • Weekly All Staff Meeting: Tuesdays 9-10 AM PST 
  • ​Weekly Tech Department Meetings:  Thursdays 10 AM – 12 PM PST
