About this Opportunity
Come one, come all! We have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit all interests and
schedules. You can volunteer as much or as little as you like, and once trained, youll have the
flexibility to work independently on certain tasks. We also offer scheduled events and workdays where we need volunteers to help out.
Here are some of the volunteer roles available:

- Welcome visitors as they arrive at the park, answer questions, and provide directions and information about the gardens and park. We train all volunteers on the history of the park, the 4,500-year-old archaeological site, the wetlands, as well as the plants and fauna. The park also features art pieces and historical placards throughout the gardens, which are relevant to the history of the Camino Real Tierra Adentro. You'll enjoy enlightening visitors of all ages and nationalities about the only park of its kind in the U.S.
Gardening and Trail Maintenance:
- Help with regular gardening and trail upkeep, including special projects like invasive species removal, planting cacti, litter pick-up, and more.
