About this Opportunity
Are you passionate about nature, history, and the outdoors? Do you love sharing this passion with others? Goose Island is looking for knowledgeable volunteers to assist with interpretive programming.
Work beside the park interpreter to provide programming for students, scouts, and park visitors that will engage them in becoming stewards of nature.
As an interpretive volunteer you could share your knowledge and passion by assisting with:
- special events
- guided hikes and nature programs
- virtual programming
- programs for school groups, scouts, etc.
- kayaking and archery (certification required)
Hours are flexible and there is the ability to make your own schedule. Please note that this is NOT a park host position.
