About this Opportunity

Cedar Hill State Park is looking for volunteers to commit 24 hours per week to assist with Resources at our park in exchange for a full hookup campsite (water, electricity, and sewer).

In this role, you''ll play a key part in maintaining and preserving the natural and cultural resources of our park. As a volunteer, you''ll assist with restoration efforts, monitor historic sites and trails, and handle various trail maintenance tasks. This includes hiking trails (3+ miles), using a weed eater, operating hand tools, picking up litter, and helping with herbicide application and invasive species control. Additionally, you may be asked to work closely with or supervise other volunteers. This role requires a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Days vary based on volunteer. Must have at least a Class C RV, 5th wheel, or bumper-pull trailer. Three to six month commitment. Hosts must commit to a minimum of 90 days. Maximum 2 year length of stay depending on performance and business needs. The park features multiple boat ramps, fishing, geocaching, and over 15 miles of hiking and biking trails. Interested applicants (and their co-resident) must click "Sign Up" on this page to complete the online application. After applications are received, applicants will receive an emailed questionnaire requesting additional information.

This position is a recurring posting. At the time of application, the park may not be actively seeking someone to fill this position.
