Light a Candle in A Patients Life

Bringing joy to hospice patients and residents of facilities.  Volunteers can read, play cards, polish nails, hand lotion therapy. Many patients want to give up when they go to a facility, our aim is to provide interaction with them to help them have a purpose.  We also do group activities in facilities at 10:00 and 2:00 several times a week. We do crafts, serve ice cream floats, polish nails, play games and visit with the patients.  We sometimes do tea parties for individual patients or groups in facilities. If volunteers have hobbies or interests we try to incorporate these interests to enhance the patient lives.  We do training on how to visit the patients.  You may go alone to visit patients or join one of our group activities.
